Welcome!

People who have immigrated from countries such as China, Japan, India, Korea, the Philippines, and Thailand, just to name a few, have helped to create Canada’s cultural fabric by sharing their cultural diversity with the rest of Canada.  Throughout the Month of May, Asian Canadians will celebrate their contribution to Canada’s multicultural diversity. Watch for different activities and events that celebrate Asian Heritage throughout our community!  Almost anywhere you go you will be able to experience the influence that Asian culture has on Kelowna.  Businesses throughout Kelowna and the Okanagan are encouraged to display their Asian spirit by advertising and offering their customers or members something that depicts Asian culture.   Eat out at an Asian restaurant or try an appetizer with an Asian twist, bring your body and mind into one by visiting a martial arts dojo or a yoga center.  Learn about the origins of tea and different foods by attending a workshop at teashops and specialty stores.  Read a book or watch a film that introduces you to Asian culture. Wherever your curiosity takes you, you will become fascinated by the flavours of Asia. The following are some other activities and events going on in Kelowna during the month of May.
